Tape stop effect in Reason

Published: 2016-10-22

In the following video I will explain how to set up a tape stop effect using 2 digital delay lines as an audio processor unit. The main concept is to "stop" the incoming audio so it can be used in any context. In the video I will mainly use Rex files to demonstrate this idea. Since it is the quickest way to set up a track and demonstrate how it works.

Other then that, you could use a similar system inside the Mastering unit to stop the complete track this way. I haven't really used the set up in the Mastering unit, but just in case you want to stop the complete song, now you know how to do it using this effect ;)

Additionally you can find the Tape Stopper as a Reason 6.5 combinator patch file here:

Where you demonstrate at the beginning of the video that you are a great singer. Specially between 0:12 and 0:14. You should capitalize on this ability. Really.More seriously (sorry), another effect added to my toolbox.
